Profiles & modes

Start a new product, MVP, or major direction with the full lifecycle by default. Decide conditional stages when they matter and record material exclusions.

Work step by step, with plain-language explanations of phases and tradeoffs. Ask about important choices while continuing to produce useful artifacts.

Start with the work in front of youChoose a focused skill or the lifecycle stages your project needs.

Clarify the intent4

Establish who the work serves, what it should prove, and where it stops.

Shape the system3

Connect the user experience to AI responsibilities and technical boundaries.

Plan and implement3

Turn accepted intent into bounded tasks, then prove the changed behavior.

Review, prepare, learn4

Check the result, prepare applicable rollout and launch work, and learn from accepted outcomes.

Use the stages that apply. Intelligence design is conditional; deployment and launch stages prepare plans and checklists.

How BuildSolid works

Fourteen stages form a lifecycle map. Use the applicable slice for the work in front of you; a focused skill can be a direct entry point when its accepted prerequisites are clear.

Eighteen Markdown skills and twenty templates carry intent, decisions, tasks, and evidence in your Git repository. One competent agent can use the workflow from a normal checkout.

Profiles set workflow depth. Modes set how the agent collaborates with you. Every profile can use any appropriate mode; selecting a control here explains that choice.

This guide follows v0.6.0, an ongoing-development prerelease. Accepted scope and allowed effects govern the work; passing checks alone do not authorize deployment, merge, or publication.

Select a stage to reveal its purpose, working output, and source document. Hover or focus a stage to trace its incoming and outgoing connections.
